art cards

Our family is a single income family — I am a stay-at-home-homeschooling mother; and so from time to time we struggle with money issues (I personally have a love hate relationship with money), but it has been worth it for us so that I am able to spend this quality time with my children. My middle daughter Lianne is in grade 10 now and attends a high school that really focuses on the arts and we absolutely love that. Lianne is really quite artistic and is part of the art club at school as well as sketching and drawing constantly at home. She also loves music (especially singing) and was in the school’s production of Seussical the Musical last year. Her school is offering the arts department a school trip to New York City in the spring and Lianne is absolutely foaming at the mouth to go. Money is very tight around here, and so we are not able to just hand her the money as perhaps many of her friends’ parents are able to do. But Lianne is determined to go.

She wants to raise the money herself so that she can go on this once-in-a-lifetime trip; and we absolutely want to support her in this. So she came up with the idea of using some of her original drawings and having them made into note cards.

Here are Lianne’s 12 different art card designs. They are all original art work and are printed on white card stock paper and come with an envelope. Each card measures approximately 4.25 inches X 5.5 inches. The cards are selling for $4 each or 3 for $10. All the money raised will go towards Lianne’s school trip to New York City in the spring. The music department at Lianne’s high school is organizing the trip to New York City. The purpose of the trip is to explore and experience the Arts and Culture available in New York City, including Music, Drama, Visual Art and Dance. The students will not only view high quality Arts productions and exhibits, but will participate in workshops with professional artists, and see many of the famous sites and sounds of New York. A performance by the students at a venue is possible as well.

  1. Sign me up for three. Not sure why I didn’t see this post earlier but now I have. Good for her taking initiative to raise some funds….gotta support young people with initiative. My favorite three are the ilove you hearts, the music notes and the flying paper cranes.
    Good luck Lianne
    Hugs
