I remember giving out cards like this one when I was in grade school. The teacher would instruct us to make special decorated boxes or bags to attach to our desks; these would then be filled with cards from the other students and we would in turn go from desk to desk and give a card to each child. No one was ever left out in my classes.
Of course, now all the valentine’s day cards for children have movie or television characters on them. I really miss the old ones. If anyone knows where I can purchase ones like these please let me know.

Lovely World
You describe exactly my Valentines experience back in elementary school! Have you looked on ebay or in the vintage shops on etsy? I also see that The Black Apple has some pretty terrific valentines that have an old-fashioned charm in her etsy shop. Of course, handmade is also nice. Remember the white doilies with a red construction paper heart glued in the middle?

Have you googled vintage printable Valentines cards? You can find many different kinds of printable ones online. That’s what we do instead of buying the junky commercial ones.

that was my valentine school-days too. Love the old-fashioned ones! You can buy digital download-able ones on etsy, like this, and make your own!
